The Best Walks of Pembrokeshire -

Pembrokeshire paths have commenced a monthly series of guided walks "The best walks of Pembrokeshire".

We have carefully chosen some of the best walks in Pembrokeshire and each month we will choose a different walk for you to enjoy.  Each month will highlight a different area of Pembrokeshire and if you join us on our monthly walks you will soon begin to build up your knowledge of Pembrokeshire, it's history and tales and legends and the wildlife. 

By joining us each month you will also begin to appreciate the changing seasons and the changing landscapes.  We will choose a variety of walk landscape and habitat.  From Coastal cliffs and coves to wooded vales, river valleys and hill top climbs.

So please check out our regular monthly walks and begin to explore and experience the changing scenes of Pembrokeshire.

The Preseli hills invite you into its enchanting past.

To wander these hills and surrounds, take time to ponder, search out its tale, then you may find a path, a mound, a place that will speak of it’s past.

This land will speak to you, of its people and of its heritage, a place to get away and to discover.

Come and join us and enter into the mystery of the Preseli hills.

The Golden Road

An exploration of this ancient trading route across the Preseli Hills, opening up some of the mysteries of the hills as we explore.

 

Preseli path

A walk to the highest point in Pembrokeshire, Foel Cwmcerwyn where King Arthur battled with the Twrch Trwyth as narrated in the book of  Welsh folk lore "The Mabinogian".

A walk along the Cleddau Ddu river from Rhydwilym ( a cradle for the worldwide Baptist Church ) to Llangolman.

This is also the area where the Rebecca riots originated.

Thomas Rees of Carnabwth was thought to be Rebecca the leader of the riots.                            

Preseli Bluestones

The Bluestone trails

A trek to Carn Meini, the ancient Bluestone quarry which was the source for the stones of the inner circle of Stonehenge.

 

Gwuan Valley

The timelessnes of the Gwaun valley

A path descending from Foel Eyri (the hill of the eagle) down into the secluded tranquility of the hidden and mysterious Gwaun valley

 

The Preseli Circle Walking Trail - A unique opportunity to join in with the inaugural walk of the Preseli Walking trail.
